This Sunday sees the inaugural challenge match between Earls Colne and Bures. Our very friendly and co-operative partnership, running a joint team over the last several years has now come to an end, but we aim to keep up our special association over the coming years with this annual trophy challenge (yes! a piece of silverware has been commissioned). The game starts this Sunday at 2pm and Earls Colne are this year’s hosts. Why not come along an make a day of it?

Guys, when I played club cricket… Oh boy! We kicked the captain out because he was a shaggy old fool who liked pear cider(!) and replaced him with me, a lean mean bowling/batting/fielding and beer drinking machine. Grrr I suggest you do the same why not make a redhead, brown (ing) boy, or blond chap le capitain?
